Costel Iarca is an artist from Romania who studied painting and sculpture at The School of Popular Arts and The University of Theology. He has been exhibiting his work since 1995 in Chicago and Soho, New York. Iarca draws inspiration from day-to-day life and believes that his art comes from his soul. He uses color to reflect the soul's beauty, and his emotions fuel the shapes and textures of his canvases. Iarca believes that a painting is always incomplete, and this incompleteness drives him to reflect on the perfection and imperfection of the world and the human soul.
